Detail of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
I don't think the Arc de Triomphe in Paris needs many words.
I therefore tried to photograph some details of the monument.
In the photo, for example, one of the four sculptures that adorn it: the triumph of 1810 with Napoleon being crowned by Victory.

Here's where the arch is located:
The Arc de Triomphe is inspired by the Arch of Titus in the Roman Forum in Rome. The monument is 50 meters high, 45 meters wide and 22 meters deep, making it the second largest triumphal arch, after the one built in North Korea in 1982 to mark Kim Il Sung’s seventieth birthday. The interior walls of the arch display the names of 660 French generals; some of these names are underlined to indicate that they died in battle.
