The monumental Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest
The monumental Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest.
The Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest (or Casa Populi as it was supposed to be in the communist era). The initial photo is taken from the square in front and is adjusted in hdr.
Begun to be built in 1980 by Nicolae Ceaușescu, and not yet completed, it was supposed to be the symbol of the power of the Romanian “dictator”. As everyone can read, it is the second largest administrative building in the world and contains the two chambers of parliament.

The Palace of the Parliament (Romanian: Palatul Parlamentului) is a public building in Bucharest, Romania, which houses the Parliament and the Constitutional Court of Romania. Its original name was the People's House (Casa Poporului), but this name was abandoned with the end of the communist era, although it is still commonly used by many Romanians.
