The Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark, more commonly known as the Basilica of Saint Mark in Venice (in Venetian: Baxéłega de San Marco) is the cathedral church and seat of the patriarchate of the metropolitan city of Venice. Together with the bell tower and the square of Saint Mark, the Cathedral Basilica forms the main architectural site of Venice. It is one of the symbols of Venetian art and Christianity.
