The slate decoration of a portico in Lavagna.
Even in the city of Lavagna there are beautiful porticos like in Chiavari and this is an example.
There is much more in this photo: the slate floor, the green door (another recurring feature of the porticos of the Riviera and the slate portal above the arch (which is very reminiscent of those that I photographed in the alley in Sestri Levante a few weeks ago).
There is also a beautiful wine shop: monnabianca.it.

Lavagna is divided into several neighborhoods, which take their names from the ancient “sestieri” into which the town was divided at the time of the Fieschi family.
They are: the Borgo district, corresponding to the historic center; the Scafa district, located in the port area and bordering Chiavari; the Moggia district, in the innermost part of the city; the Ripamare district in the eastern area; the Cavi district, which includes the homonymous hamlet of Cavi di Lavagna and the hillside hamlets of Santa Giulia, Sorlana and Barassi.
