The neighborhood of Via Madre di Dio in Genoa.
A few weeks ago, with friends, we decided to spend an afternoon in Genoa walking through the less frequented streets. So we passed by Carignano and its old bridge.
From there I managed to take a shot that I really liked and that portrays an area that was once a real neighborhood: Via Madre di Dio.
In addition to the neighborhood, of which I will leave you some external links to read its history, a beautiful view of the Giano pier and the Port of Genoa.

The ancient popular buildings of via Madre di Dio, via dei Servi and via del Colle (Cheullia), which had been in a state of decay for some time, partly damaged or destroyed by the bombings of the Second World War, disappeared completely with the systematic application of the urban planning scheme carried out between 1969 and 1973, to make way for modern business centres, which house the offices of the Liguria Region, municipal bodies and private companies.
