The courtyard of the Doria-Tursi palace in Genoa

The two-story courtyard of the Doria-Tursi palace in Genoa.
One of the most visited buildings in Genoa for two reasons: it is the current seat of the municipality and because it is part of the Strada Nuova museums.
I photographed this splendid building, which is located like many other Rolli palaces, in via Garibaldi (previously called Strada Nuova) a few months ago when I was in the capital for the Rolli Days.

Have you ever been to this building?

Palazzo Doria-Tursi, or Palazzo Niccolò Grimaldi, is a building located at number 9 of Via Garibaldi in the historic center of Genoa, included on July 13, 2006 in the list of 42 palaces registered in the Rolli of Genoa, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site on that date. The building is the seat of the Municipality of Genoa and is part of the city's museum complex.

I took a lot of photos around the city of Genoa and you can find almost all of them here or by searching in the various article specific to the Ligurian city.
If you want to find some ideas to learn more about the Superba I refer you to the website of the Municipality's Tourism: visitgenoa.it. This is the institutional website of the Municipality: smart.comune.genova.it.

If you need a good paper guide of the city I invite you to consult these publications: Genova e il Tigullio, Genova. Una guida or Guida indipendente alla città di Genova.
If you are passionate about mysteries and legends then I suggest you read these two books: Alla scoperta dei segreti perduti di Genova and Genova misteriosa.
