The Italian Garden of the Villa del Principe in Genoa
The Italian garden of the Villa del Principe in Genoa.
Right between the port (the Maritime Station and the Andrea Doria pier) and the Genova Principe railway station stands the splendid Villa del Principe (or Palazzo del Principe or Palazzo di Andrea Doria a Fassolo), one of the most beautiful historic residences in Genoa.
Its magnificent Italian garden is visible and can also be photographed from the adjacent Via Adua (where I took the photo).

Here's where the garden is located:
The villa is inextricably linked to its park, which once connected it directly to Andrea Doria’s private dock. To supply its fountains with water, an artificial lake (the Lagaccio) was created upstream, which – now dried up – still gives its name to the Lagaccio neighborhood.
