Among the photos of my town, new ones are appearing, made from new perspectives that my new drone is able to give me.
This photo that was taken above Piazzetta Dina Bellotti and that points to the Baia del Silenzio is truly, in my opinion, very beautiful.

Il Passo di Centocroci sotto la neve invernale.
Lo scorso fine settimana, rispettando l’ultimo giorno di zona gialla, sono stato a vedere se era rimasta ancora un po’ di neve sul Passo di Centocroci.
Il Passo, che divide la Liguria dall’Emilia Romagna, portava ancora molta neve che ho ripreso con tutti i miei mezzi (Drone, macchina fotografica e cellulare).
Qui i video che giorno per giorno aggiungerò ed aggiornerò!

The Centocroci Pass (Sentu Cruxe in Ligurian) is a mountain pass located at an altitude of 1055 metres above sea level that separates the Val di Vara from Emilia, opening onto the ridge a few kilometres north-west of Mount Gottero, in the Ligurian Apennines.

Lo scoglio dell’Asseu a Riva Trigoso.
Qualche settimana fa c’è stata una splendida giornata di sole qui a Sestri e ne ho approfittato per scattare qualche foto con il mio drone nella spiaggia di Renà.
Tra le tante foto e video ne ho fatte alcune allo splendido scoglio chiamato Asseu che è proprio sotto la prima galleria che da Sestri porta a Moneglia.
Fino a qualche mese fa lo scoglio era collegato alla spiaggia da un pontile di cemento che, qualche mese fa è stato demolito.
Godetevi ora l’acqua trasparente attorno allo scoglio.

La spiaggia di Renà a Riva Trigoso.
Un paio di settimane fa, dopo mesi che me lo riproponevo, sono andato a fare qualche foto e video nella spiaggia di Renà.
La spiaggia, per chi non lo sapesse, è l’ultima a Levante del comune di Sestri Levante.
Probabilmente è anche la meno privatizzata del comune; intendo che non ci sono stabilimenti balneari numerosi come a Sestri ma forse solo uno fisso ed un paio di spiagge libere attrezzate.
C’è poca sabbia e quasi tutti sassi.
Il mare qui sa essere davvero esuberante e quasi ogni anno qualche mareggiata porta via i muraglioni che proteggono le case e la strada.

Quando riprendi o fotografi il paesaggio, anche quello a cui tu sei più familiare, a seconda dei punti di vista ai tuoi occhi si può aprire un mondo nuovo.
Come queste foto che ho scattato con il mio drone in Baia del Silenzio esattamente partendo da quel punto che da giovani chiamavamo Canala.
Si possono vedere i gavitelli, essendo ormai novembre, privi di imbarcazioni e gli scoglietti che affiorano sul mare. I colori dell’acqua parlano da soli!

L’istmo tra le due baie di Sestri Levante.
La sottile fascia di terra che divide le due baie di Sestri Levante, la Baia del Silenzio e la Baia delle Favole, ripresa con il mio drone in una mattinata soleggiata di inizio novembre.
Come tutti i sestresi sanno non è sempre esistita questa striscia di terra: la Penisola in antichità era un’Isola separata dal resto della cittadina. La creazione del porto e il continuo afflusso di detriti dal torrente Gromolo hanno finito per riempire definitivamente questo istmo.

Last week, thanks to the beautiful sun that appeared towards the weekend, I finally took some nice photos and videos from the Baia Del Silenzio.
The result seems truly exceptional to me: the subject of this photo was supposed to be the bronze statue of the Fisherman in the Baia del Silenzio in Sestri Levante but, within so much beauty and so many colors, it is difficult to see it.

Where is the statue of the Fisherman:
Always a source of inspiration for men of letters, writers and scientists, the Bay of Silence is considered one of the most enchanting places on the Ligurian Riviera. Numerous illustrious guests stayed there: the writer Hans Christian Andersen, the composer Richard Wagner, the scientist Guglielmo Marconi, who carried out numerous experiments in Sestri in the homonymous Marconi Tower, and finally Arthur Van Schendel, a famous Dutch writer who, starting in 1921, began to spend long periods in Sestri with his family, in the majestic White House, overlooking the Bay.

Sant’Anna beach in Sestri Levante from the drone.
I haven’t taken a good shot of the Baia del Silenzio yet, but I already have several nice videos and photos of the Baia delle Favole in my archive.
Like in this post where I post two nice photos of Sant’Anna beach, the beach on the far west side of Sestri Levante, which over the years has become very crowded and popular.
Here we are at the end of October, so there are only a few people who, thanks to the warm morning sun, are taking a walk on the shoreline.

The Bay of Fables from the drone.
Last week I took some nice photos and videos of the Bay of Fables with the drone.
This is a nice photo, and below the nice video, of the strip of land that connects what was once the Island of Sestri Levante.
