Nelson Mandela Park in Sestri Levante: the new track.
A couple of new sports facilities were inaugurated in the park a few weeks ago: an athletics track and a dirt track for enduro cycling.
By now, despite more or less understandable criticism, it is one of the cornerstones of the recreational and sports activities of the Sestri kids.
Last Saturday, thanks to a splendid almost summery day, I stopped by to take a couple of photos (which unfortunately are not very effective in doing justice to its beauty).

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (Mvezo, 18 July 191 – Johannesburg, 5 December 2013) was a South African politician and activist, President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
