Dreamy sea: Oranjestad in Aruba.
A couple of years ago, I was in the Caribbean with the ship and a couple of times we went to the island of Aruba.
This is the view from the ship docked in the port.
Aruba, with its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches, is a dream destination for sea lovers. Among its natural wonders, the Oranjestad Barrier Reef stands out as a true underwater treasure, offering unforgettable experiences for divers and snorkelers.
The Oranjestad Barrier Reef is famous for its biodiversity. Here, visitors can admire a wide range of corals, including elkhorn coral and brain coral, as well as colorful sponges and a myriad of marine species. Tropical fish, starfish, eels and sea turtles are just a few of the creatures that inhabit this vibrant ecosystem.
Exploring the Oranjestad Barrier Reef is an experience accessible to everyone. Snorkeling and scuba diving excursions are among the most popular activities. For those looking for a unique adventure, Seabob underwater scooter tours offer a fun and dynamic way to explore the reef. In addition, semi-submarine tours offer spectacular views of the reef without having to get wet.
Protecting the reef is a priority for Aruba. Several local initiatives aim to preserve this fragile ecosystem, promoting sustainable tourism practices and raising awareness among visitors about the importance of marine conservation. Participating in these activities responsibly is essential to ensuring that the reef continues to thrive for future generations.
To visit the reef, tours can be booked through a number of local tour operators. They often depart from the Oranjestad Port, which is easily accessible from the city center. Whether it’s a snorkeling excursion, a scuba dive or a semi-submarine tour, each experience offers a unique opportunity to discover Aruba’s underwater wonders.

Dream beaches: Klein Bonaire in the Bes Islands in the Caribbean.
A couple of days ago I was lucky enough to spend a couple of hours on this beautiful Caribbean beach.
It is an enchanted oasis a few hundred meters from the main island and there is only beach and coral.
A true paradise.

Bonaire (Dutch: Bonaire, Papiamento: Boneiru) is an island of 288 km² that is a special municipality of the Netherlands (Dutch: bijzondere gemeente), located in the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela. It is the second largest island in the Dutch Caribbean, after Curaçao. Together with Sint Eustatius and Saba, it is part of the BES Islands (or Caribbean Netherlands). The only two inhabited centers are the capital Kralendijk and Rincon.

Vi ho gia’ segnalato Long Bay Beach.
