The climb to the Castle of Chiavari in Liguria.
Some time ago, parking the car from the parking lots near the hospital and the Chiavari Art Institute, I noticed for the first time in my life a climb (a classic Ligurian creuza) and I decided to go up it to see where it led.
It is quite short even if decidedly steep and going up, I noticed the fortification, which only when I reached the top did I discover to be the Castle of Chiavari.
Have you ever seen this little Chiavari fort?

Here's where the castle is located:
The castle was built between 1146 and 1147, one of the first erected in the geographical area of the Gulf of Tigullio, on the hill overlooking the then fortified citadel of the seaside village of Clavari, today's Chiavari, to defend it and the surrounding valley.
