The spectacular view from the top of Mount Zatta

La spettacolare vista dalla cima del Monte Zatta

The spectacular view from the top of Monte Zatta.
Some time ago, now, I had been walking along the circular path of Monte Zatta.
One of the most beautiful walks that I remember having done with, at the top, the spectacular view that can be enjoyed from the top!

I took several photos along the Monte Zatta path and if you want to see them go to this page:

To see in detail the path I took I invite you to go to wikiloc.com.

Here's where the top is:

The summit of the Zatta mountain massif consists of a long wavy ridge, crossed by an easy ridge path. On the outer edges of this ridge are the Zatta di Ponente mountain (1355 m) and the Prato Pinello mountain (1390 m). Between the two ends rises the main peak, the Zatta di Levante mountain (1404 m). The southern slope is steep and stony, while the northern slope, towards the Bocco pass, has a gentler slope and is covered by a large beech forest.

One of the next peaks I have to climb is Mount Ramaceto photographed here from the circular path that goes up to Mount Caucasus.
Just over 1300 meters high, it is one of the peaks that dominate the hinterland of Eastern Liguria and is part of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (AV).
Very beautiful!

The view of Sestri Levante from Mount Caucasus

La vista, molto in lontananza, di Sestri Levante dal Monte Caucaso

The view, far away, of Sestri Levante from Mount Caucasus.
Last winter I decided to walk, after having been meaning to do it for a long time, the path that reaches the top of Mount Caucasus (1245 m).
In addition to dominating the whole of the Fontanabuona Valley, it also offers a spectacular view of the coast and, if you look carefully in the distance, you can see my beautiful Sestri Levante.

And these are three nice videos I made that day, ascent, arrival and view:

Videos recorded with Gopro Hero 10 Black.

There are several paths that lead to the summit: among these, the path that starts from Scoglina and the steep path that goes up from Neirone. Another path starts from the village of Barbagelata, from where on New Year's Eve a torchlight procession is led on foot to the chapel dedicated to the Madonna located on the summit of the mountain.

The view of the Petronio valley from Mount Groppi

La vista sulla valle del Petronio dal Monte Groppi

The view of the Petronio valley from Monte Groppi.
A few months ago I took a splendid path that from the road to the Bracco Pass goes to Monte Nicolao and then, if you want, also climbs up to the top of Monte Groppi which is located on the border between the municipality of Castiglione Chiavarese (GE) and the municipality of Carro (SP).
From there you can enjoy an exceptional view thanks to the 869 meters of the peak!

I'll also leave you a link to a nice article that explains better the path I took: passeggiareinliguria.it.

La vista dalla cima del Monte Treggin

The view from the top of Monte Treggin.
From its height of eight hundred meters, Monte Treggin offers a spectacular view of Casarza Ligure and Sestri Levante.
This is the view from the highest point. Too bad it wasn't a very clear day and the sky was very black.

Have you ever done the path that starts from Bargone and reaches the top of Treggin?

One of the highest mountains and from which you can see the most beautiful view of Sestri Levante is Monte Treggin (870 meters).
To get there there are various paths; among all the possible ones I decided to take the one that starts from the town of Bargone.
Once you reach the top there is a beautiful crest with a beautiful ravine on top of which there is a cross.
Exceptional view!

Mount Ramaceto with snow photographed from afar

Monte Ramaceto con la neve

Mount Ramaceto with snow photographed from afar.
In Liguria it is like this: in the same photo there is both the sea and a mountain with snow.
Just over 1300 meters high these days, like almost all the mountains of the hinterland, the snow has covered it abundantly as can also be seen from Sestri Levante.

Ps: I think it's Monte Ramaceto and I'd be happy if some expert reader could confirm it for me!

The summit of Fansipan in Vietnam

Cima del Fansipan in Vietnam

Fansipan peak in Vietnam.
Phan Xi Pang in Sa Pa.
The Sa Pa region is the most famous in Vietnam for its naturalistic aspect. In this region there is also the highest peak not only in the state but in the whole Indochinese region: Phan Xi Pang (in English Fansipan).
It is a mountain over 3000 meters high and it is a spectacle.
From its summit, from which however there is little view because there is almost always fog, you dominate the whole region.
You can reach the top of Fansipan by cable car… that trip alone would be enough!
Then at the top, there are temples, statues of Buddha, and steep, steep stairways.
