The sbatacchio arches between the houses in the village of Vernazza in the Cinque Terre. Walking through the Ligurian villages you often see these architectural structures that connect the houses in the alleys. These arches, called sbatacchio arches, are elements built to increase the stability of the buildings especially when the distance between the walls is small (and in Liguria it is almost a constant).

La Lanterna di Genova al tramonto in controluce. La Lanterna domina gli sguardi e le attenzioni di tutti i genovesi ed i visitatori. Ovviamente attira anche tutti gli obiettivi delle macchine fotografiche ed il mio non poteva mancare. Se non ricordo male (purtroppo scatto sempre molte foto che poi non ho tempo di inserire a breve tempo dallo scatto e succede che non ne ricordi bene i dettagli successivamente) l’avevo scattata da uno dei belvedere di Corso Carbonara o Castelletto.

Controluce in carruggio. Questo è il carruggio (carrugio, carugio, carruggio… chiamatelo come volete) di Sestri Levante. La foto è in grande controluce… e anche con l’effetto miniature… Un po’ particolare tanto per cambiare!
Il campanile di San Marco a Venezia in controluce. Uno dei simboli di Venezia è sicuramente il campanile di San Marco. In questa foto in controluce e hdr ho cercato di farvi capire la maestosità di questo monumento e non so se ci sono riuscito.

The bell tower of San Marco is one of the most important symbols of the city of Venice. Together with the basilica of the same name and the square below it, from which it takes its name, it is the main monument of Venice and one of the symbols of Italy. Venetians affectionately call it El parón de casa (The master of the house). 98.6 meters high, it is one of the tallest bell towers in Italy, standing alone in a corner of Piazza San Marco, in front of the basilica.
