The houses on Ponte Vecchio in Florence
Ponte Vecchio is probably the most famous historic bridge in the world and it is also famous because there are houses built on top of it (and because the Vasari Corridor also passes above the houses).
This is one of the many views of the bridge portrayed from Lungarno.

The portico under the Vasari Corridor in Florence.
When visiting Florence and Ponte Vecchio, you cannot help but notice this portico that runs for about ten meters between the bridge and the Uffizi.
This portico is nothing other than the support for the famous and mysterious Vasari Corridor, a sort of secret passage built by Cosimo I de' Medici.

The Vasari Corridor was built in just 5 months at the behest of the then Duke Cosimo I de’ Medici in 1565 by the architect Giorgio Vasari, who had already built the current Uffizi Gallery.
