The church of Santa Cristina is a Catholic place of worship with baroque forms, located in Strada della Repubblica 23 in Parma, in the province and diocese of Parma. The original church of Santa Cristina dates back to at least the 10th century and in the early Middle Ages marked the eastern limit of Parma (the church also gave its name to one of the city gates, the one that opened onto the Via Emilia towards Reggio). The apse of the building was oriented to the east and the facade faced the current Piazza Garibaldi.

The first traces of tortellino date back to a parchment from 1112, as well as to a papal bull from 1169. Tortellini in broth are often served on the Christmas menu. The Bolognese historian Alessandro Cervellati reports that this tradition in Bologna dates back to the 12th century.

Butter and parmesan caplett in Bologna

The caplett with butter and parmesan from Locanda Ca’ Pelletti in Bologna.
The cappelletti, which are usually eaten in broth, were also truly excellent when seasoned with butter and parmesan cheese.
When the products used are excellent and local, the result can only be amazing even in simple dishes.

This dish was tasted at the inn Ca’ Pelletti in the center of Bologna and they were truly delicious.

Cappelletti are a traditional stuffed egg pasta shape, so called because of their characteristic shape that resembles a hat. They are obtained by cutting the pasta sheet into squares, in the center of which the filling is placed. The pasta is then folded in two into a triangle, then joining, overlapping them, two ends.
