The Monument to the Fallen for Freedom in Santa Margherita Ligure.
Every time I find a statue in memory of the sacrifice of women and men for our Freedom I always try to photograph it to remember its value.
This monument, on the seafront of Santa Margherita Ligure, brings back the memory of the dead of the Great War and the Second World War.

The monument to the Fallen of the First World War in San Bernardo, a hamlet of Sestri Levante.
On 21 May 1922, exactly one hundred years ago, this monument was placed in the small square of the church in San Bernardo, a hamlet of Sestri Levante, in memory of the local fallen in the First World War.
The inscription reads:

Agli oscuri Eroi
morti combattendo
per una Patria più Libera
ed una migliore Umanità
i concittadini
memori e riconoscenti.

The plaque for the fallen of the Great War in Trigoso.
Actually today is Liberation Day and I should post something related to Freedom or some memorial stone or plaque of the partisans but I had nothing in the archive.
So I found it appropriate to publish on this day this plaque, which is located in the churchyard of the church of Trigoso, which commemorates some local fallen of the First World War and in any case the fallen of all wars.

Trigoso, with fond memories of his sons, fallen for the greatness of Italy:
