La foto forse non rende benissimo (perché scattata dal treno in movimento) ma vi assicuro che per chilometri e chilometri ci sono frutteti di mango rossi. Se notate sulle piante ci sono dei sacchetti bianchi che mi hanno spiegato che servono a proteggere i frutti dall’eccessivo calore che qui, nel Sud dell’isola di Taiwan, può essere veramente eccessivo.

Uno dei punti più famosi, e fotografati, dell’isola è sicuramente la parte della città che si affaccia sul mare. Tutti ristoranti di pesce a prezzi (vorrei dire bassi ma…) normali per una location simile.

Questa chiesa ortodossa domina la cittadina dall’alto del centro storico, a poche decine di metri dalle discoteche e dagli affollatissimi bar in cui i turisti trascorrono la maggior parte delle loro serate.
