Dream beaches: Great Bay in Sint Maarten.
In the town of Philipsburg, the port of call of St Maarten, there is one of the beaches that I like the most in all the Caribbean.
It is very close to the ship (with the taxi boat), the sand is golden, the water is transparent and relaxation is guaranteed!
Yes, it's true, there are a horde of cruise passengers: but they don't bother me at all!

Here's where the beach is located:

Sint Maarten is a constituent nation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which includes three other nations: the Netherlands and the Caribbean states of Aruba and Curaçao. The territory is made up of the southern part of the island of Saint Martin, located in the southern Caribbean Sea. The capital is Philipsburg. Sint Maarten borders to the north with Saint-Martin, an overseas collectivity dependent on France, whose territory makes up the northern part of the island.

Pontili e stabilimenti balneari a Rapallo in Liguria.
Una foto scattata in estate dei pontili e degli stabilimenti balneari di Rapallo poco a Levante del Castello.
Non essendoci molta spiaggia lungo la costa (solo recentemente si è creata una spiaggetta nuova) ci si è dovuti arrangiare e sfruttare queste costruzioni per ampliare lo spazio per lettini ed ombrelloni.

The Baia delle Favole in Sestri Levante during the summer.
In the summer, I took the photos last July, the two bays of Sestri are filled with tourists and bathers.
If one of the two is smaller (and entry in recent years has been limited to a maximum number of people) the other is just over a kilometer long and offers free beaches, equipped free beaches and even private bathrooms.
You are spoiled for choice!

Here's where the bay is located:

The largest bay, called Baia delle Favole, owes its name to Enzo Tortora, an unforgettable television presenter who gave it this name during an episode of Campanile Sera, broadcast from Sestri Levante towards the end of the 1950s.

Piscina con vista su Ibiza

Piscina con vista su Ibiza.
Forse in pochi hanno avuto la possibilita’ di passere una giornata in un posto coi’ bello.
Io ci sono andato a luglio e mi sono trovato benissimo.
Siamo ad Ibiza, nella piscina del resort Casa Maca.
Acqua fresca e sullo sfondo la cittadina che aspetta di animarsi. Questo posto, frequentato anche da qualche vip italiano, ha, oltre alla piscina, uno splendido ristorante ed un’area all’aperto dove la sera si puo’ gustare una splendida parilla!

Ibiza è una destinazione turistica molto popolare soprattutto tra i giovani, in particolar modo per la vita notturna, concentrata maggiormente in due zone: da una parte nel capoluogo dell’isola e dall’altra a Sant Antoni de Portmany. Numerose le discoteche e i club, tra i più famosi ci sono il Privilege, Es Paradis (famoso per le sue feste in acqua), Amnesia (famoso per i suoi schiuma-party), lo Space, il Pacha (che ha 22 altri club sparsi per il mondo), il DC10. Numerosi anche i bar sulla spiaggia ad esempio Bora Bora e Ushuaya a Playa d’en Bossa, altri luoghi di attrazione per chi vuole ballare. Sempre a Ibiza da citare il Café del Mar, suggestivo locale di Sant Antoni de Portmany.

The beach of Valencia

The beach of Valencia.
I certainly can't consider it a dream beach (as I have photographed and posted many here) and it is certainly not one of those places that you plan to see in the Castilian city but in any case, if you are here on holiday in the summer, you can make a quick visit.
Along the beautiful and long promenade there are several excellent restaurants and bars.
It is called Playa del Cabanyal. The golden sand extends for many meters and just before reaching the sea there are many umbrellas and sunbeds.
The water is certainly not unforgettable... terrible color and not very inviting.
It is very crowded and this is positive.

Ancora lettini a Sant’Anna a Sestri Levante

Ancora lettini nella spiaggia di Sant’Anna a Sestri Levante.
Questo post, e la foto, fa il paio con quella di ieri (e di fatti anche questa l’ho scattata ieri). Per cui copio il post così come l’ho scritto ieri aggiungendo un’altra immagine però. Unica differenza è che in questa si vede un po’ di più il resto della spiaggia verso il centro di Sestri.

Questa mattina non era male la spiaggia. Una brezza decisa che toglieva un po’ di umidità; cielo terso (ma bastava guardarsi alle spalle per vedere come mai era stata emanata un’allerta meteo – forse un po’ esagerata) e mare leggermente mosso (ma diciamo quasi piatto).
Questi sono i lettini della spiaggia di Sant’Anna. Ora non so bene chi li gestisca (ma credo che siano del bar Il chiosco delle Ragazze) assieme all’associazione Noi Handiamo che mette a disposizione attrezzature per i diversamente abili.
La spiaggia comunque è molto bella e la foto (credo) anche.

Lettini a Sant’Anna a Sestri Levante.
Questa mattina non era male la spiaggia. Una brezza decisa che toglieva un po’ di umidità; cielo terso (ma bastava guardarsi alle spalle per vedere come mai era stata emanata un’allerta meteo – forse un po’ esagerata) e mare leggermente mosso (ma diciamo quasi piatto).
Questi sono i lettini della spiaggia di Sant’Anna. Ora non so bene chi li gestisca (ma credo che siano del bar Il chiosco delle Ragazze) assieme all’associazione Noi Handiamo che mette a disposizione attrezzature per i diversamente abili.
La spiaggia comunque è molto bella e la foto (credo) anche.

The sunbeds and umbrellas closed towards evening in Monterosso.
In the late afternoon in Monterosso, one of the Cinque Terre, the umbrellas are already closed (to tell the truth it was already half past eight in the evening) but the atmosphere really makes you want to go for another swim.
