Cartelli punta mesco.
Zoom of Levanto beach. A couple of photos of the Ligurian town of Levanto (that I took at the end of last summer). You can see a glimpse of the bay photographed from the beginning of the path that goes to Punta Mesco and Monterosso.

The town of Levanto is of ancient foundation, nestled in a valley covered with olive trees, vines and pines and overlooking the sea. The ridges of the valley end in the sea with the promontory of Mesco and the tip of Levanto. Continue on Wikipedia

Clear water in Liguria. This week I went for a nice walk (trekking) in Eastern Liguria. Route between Framura and Monterosso. Along the last stretch, the one that goes from Levanto to Punta Mesco, I took this shot of a cove with incredibly blue water. Photos and videos that I hope you like and make you a little envious (like me) for the owners of that little boat moored a few meters from that enchanted little beach.

Maremonti cycle and pedestrian path. A splendid route created in the former train tunnel that connects Framura with Bonassola and Levanto. A beautiful route to do by bike (but it is very fast) or on foot (better).

The cycle path begins in the Vallesanta area of Levanto, in the area of the renovated seafront; the path continues towards Bonassola on a route that is almost entirely in tunnels, except for some open-air sections including the one near the La Francesca area, where the tourist village of the same name is located.

According to some historical sources, the toponym of the town derives from Bulnetia or Bodetia, names that appear in some writings of the early Middle Ages. Other sources, considered more valid, would instead lead to the ancient term Vallis Bonazolae, indicating that coastal area between the present-day towns of Framura, to the west, and Levanto to the east. The village of Levanto seen from the hills behind. The mangialonga gave me the opportunity to take some beautiful panoramic photos of Levanto. In the photo in particular you can see the village of Legnaro with the town of Levanto in the background.
