Walking around the Rambla in Barcelona I came across the Gothic church of San Jaume in Barcelona where I photographed this monument dedicated to the Virgin of Montserrat.

Here is where the church is located:

According to legend, the first image of the Virgin (in Catalan La Mare de Déu de Montserrat) was found by some children who were tending a flock in a cave in 880, after seeing a light on the mountain. When the bishop learned of the discovery, he tried to have the small statue transported to Manresa, but it was not possible because the statue became too heavy. Therefore, the bishop interpreted this signal as the Virgin's desire to remain near the place where it was found and therefore ordered the construction of the sanctuary.

A Madonnina in via Asilo Maria Teresa in Sestri Levante.
Walking around my Sestri I always try to frame objects or unpublished details to share them and, perhaps, get some more information by searching online or waiting for some visitor to add some news.
In this case my attention was drawn to this small Madonnina that emerges from the wall that borders via Asilo Maria Teresa and, given the position, I imagine that it is a statuette of what used to be the asylum.

At the intersection of Salita Levaggi and the beginning of Via Giuseppe Raggio is one of the most beautiful and important hotels in the city of Chiavari.
The photo is only of the exterior which however represents the typical Chiavari building with the portico and a votive shrine on the facade.

The copy of the Madonnina of Milan in the Duomo Museum
A few months ago I spent a couple of days in the city of Milan and I tried to visit (and photograph) as many things as possible.
So I visited the Duomo and got the full package with the Museum.
In the museum, in one of the entrance halls, a perfect copy of the Madonnina that was made for the Expo (I think) has been placed.
And in the background the bell tower (campanile) of the church of San Gottardo in Corte.

The reproduction of the Statue of the Virgin, made in bronze with the "lost wax casting" method, was commissioned and then donated by the Fonderia Nolana del Giudice for the Expo pavilion of the Veneranda Fabbrica in 2015.

The statue of a Madonna in Barcelona.
In the Rambla of Barcelona a beautiful statue of a Madonna is proudly displayed on the second floor of one of the many buildings.
The aedicules, as these statuettes placed on the facades of buildings are called, are also very typical of Liguria and I have already published several images of them in Genoa and Sestri Levante.
