The Perseus who killed Medusa in the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence.
If you are in Florence you definitely cannot miss seeing this statue located right in the center, in the very famous Piazza della Signoria.
It is sheltered under the Loggia dei Lanzi, the structure in front of Palazzo Vecchio that houses several works.

Perseus is best remembered for killing the Gorgon Medusa, for saving Andromeda, who later became his wife, from a sea monster, and for being king of Tiryns, after having renounced the throne of Argos in favor of Megapenthes, and of Mycenae, a city he founded himself. By his wife Andromeda he had many children, including Electryon (her heir and grandfather of Heracles) and Gorgophone (mother of Icarius and grandmother of Penelope, wife of Odysseus).
