The Imperial City of Hue in Vietnam. One of the oldest and most visited monuments in all of Vietnam is the ancient citadel of the city of Hue. Hue was for a period the capital of the Vietnamese Empire; Vietnam is a state that has existed since the 4th century BC and dominates what is called Indochina. An example, well preserved, of palaces and gardens. Inside there is also the small Forbidden City. Truly a place to visit, possibly (not as I did) away from the central hours of the day because the heat risks ruining the pleasure of the visit.

The statues outside the Cathedral of Palermo. The most important church in Palermo and the statues that adorn its front garden. I still have many images that I took in the summer during my visit to this splendid monument of Palermo. As always, I'll post them diluted over time.

With Gualtiero Offamilio the cathedral is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin represented in three different iconographies: one is the Dormition of the Mother of God or «Koimesis tes Theotokou» or «Dormitio Virginis», which belongs to the Byzantine tradition, the other two belonging to the Latin tradition: the Assumption and the Coronation in Heaven. The statues of the Cathedral of Palermo. The garden that is next to this splendid church of Palermo has walls and entrances decorated with these beautiful statues of Saints (or at least I think that's what they are). These elements also contribute to making the monument extraordinary.

The Super Trees of Singapore. They are actually called Supertrees and are one of the many (truth be told) attractions of Singapore. They are modern installations that resemble stylized trees. I have already posted some of them but here I decided to put all the remaining ones.

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Back from Valencia I start posting some pictures. These were taken in the complex of the City of Arts and Sciences and it is an area, freely accessible, where you can immerse yourself in pools, fountains and above all the lines of these futuristic constructions famous throughout the world.

Here instead there are several other photos, taken some time ago by a friend.
It is an architectural complex composed of five different structures, divided into three thematic areas: art, science and nature. It is located in Valencia, Spain, on the old, now moved, bed of the Turia river and covers a surface area of 350,000 m2. Designed by architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, and begun in July 1996, it is an example of organic architecture, which thanks to cutting-edge construction qualities manages to harmonize the elements with the contents, while allowing the Mediterranean tradition of the sea and light to shine through through a play of colors between the blue of the large open-air ponds and the white of the concrete.
