Walking along the promenade of Chiavari, in the Preli area, you come across the Ex Colonia Fara (now renamed Torre Fara) which stands with all its grandeur.

Where is the tower located:

The structure, dedicated to the memory of General Gustavo Fara, was commissioned by the National Fascist Party in 1935 as a seaside holiday resort for children, to be used mainly in the summer. The building, an example of Italian rationalism, was designed by Camillo Nardi Greco and Lorenzo Castello and was built between 1935 and 1936.

I really like night photos but I admit that I'm not that good at taking them.
First of all because I never have a tripod, and I always have to rest the camera on some object and then because I never have the patience to try and try again until I find the best settings.
Walking in the Baia delle Favole in Sestri Levante, one summer evening, I tried to take a couple of photos.

Baia del Silenzio di notte

Baia del Silenzio di notte.
Portobello, altro nome della famosa baia di Sestri Levante, fotografata in notturna.
Non ricordo nemmeno bene quando l’ho scattata, credo lo scorso settembre.
Era una serata particolarmente limpida.
La baia comunque è sempre splendida.

Ferrara Cathedral at night

One of the symbols of Ferrara is its Cathedral in the center.
This photo, taken at night, perhaps does not do justice to its beauty. To tell the truth, the whole square is splendid.

Still on the south side, there is the Renaissance bell tower made of brick and covered in limestone (white and red from Verona); the columns on the north and south sides are in grey limestone from Noriglio, the plinth of the columns is in Istrian stone, the capitals of the columns are in prun stone and some coats of arms on the south and west sides are in soft stone from Vicenza.

Probabilmente la piazza più fotografata della città.

Palace of Justice. The building, which housed the Chiavari court until 2013, is located in the heart of the historic center of Chiavari in Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini. Built in 1886 and designed by Giuseppe Partini, it is in medieval style with forms inspired by Tuscan Gothic. It was erected on the site of the ancient “Cittadella” of the fifteenth century, built by the Republic of Genoa as a concentration of civil and military power, of which the crenellated tower from 1537 is still visible.

Patong beach in Thailandia

Patong beach in Thailandia.
Se si arriva a Phuket non si puo’ non conoscere la spiaggia di Patong, la piu’ famosa della citta’.
Sicuramente non e’ la piu’ bella spiaggia della Thalandia ma merita sicuramente una visita sia di giorno sia, e probabilmente soprattutto, di notte.
Un solo avviso: e’ severamente vietato fumare in spiaggia e nella passeggiata pena una multa da 100’000 bath che solo la fortuna mi ha aiutato ad evitare.

A nord è collegata alla terraferma dal lungo ponte stradale Sarasin. Le sue importanti risorse naturali comprendono falesie calcaree ricche di stagno, famose spiagge, tranquille baie e foreste tropicali che fanno di Phuket la più ricca, più turistica e più popolare tra le isole della Thailandia del Sud. È conosciuta nel Paese anche come la perla delle Andamane o la perla del sud.

La Baia del Silenzio in notturna a Ferragosto.
Seconda foto scattata in Baia del Silenzio la notte di Ferragosto dopo quella di ieri.
Devo dire che mi sono venute proprio bene queste foto.
Ovviamente la baia del Silenzio è un soggetto che da solo si presta a fare scatti stupendi ma ci ho messo un po’ di mio dai.

Baia del Silenzio at night on August 15th.
It's been a while since I posted a nice night photo of Baia del Silenzio. I filled this gap by bringing my camera last night and going to Portobello.
To tell the truth, with my new camera I hadn't taken any night photos yet...
Tomorrow I'll post another one taken at the same time.

And I have to say that I really like the result, what do you think?
