Wind turbines in the sea in front of the city of Copenhagen.
Every time I am in Copenhagen by ship I am amazed at how far ahead the Northern European nations are in exploiting alternative energy.
This is a wind farm, positioned in the sea, just outside the Danish capital.

Here's where these facilities are located:

Middelgrunden is an offshore wind farm in the Øresund, opposite Copenhagen, Denmark. When it was built in 2000, it was the largest offshore farm in the world, with 20 turbines of 2 MW each and a total capacity of 40 MW, providing about 3% of the electricity used in Copenhagen.

Il passo di Centocroci (Sentu Cruxe in ligure), è un valico posto alla quota di 1055 metri sul livello del mare che separa la Val di Vara dall’Emilia, aprendosi sul crinale alcuni chilometri a nordovest del monte Gottero, nell’Appennino ligure.

Cappelletta Pass towards Centocroci.
Along the road that leads from Liguria to Emilia Romagna and passes through Varese Ligure there are two possibilities to cross (maybe even more): either you cross the Centocroci Pass or you turn towards Albareto and go to the Cappelletta Pass.
The wind turbines modernize the landscape that in summer is sunny and cool while in winter it is often snowy.
Obviously, as the name and photo suggest, there is a small chapel (inside which there is a plaque dedicated to the Alpini and the dead of all wars).
You park the car if you are not so sporty as to arrive on foot or by bike and you go up the ridge.
A spectacle.

La neve ghiacciata rimasta a Centocroci

La neve ghiacciata rimasta a Centocroci.
Della mia gitarella al Passo di Centocroci di qualche settimana fa finalmente sono riuscito a iniziare a postare le foto.
Oltre al grande panorama innevato che vi ho già fatto vedere con le foto dal drone e che vi proporrò prossimamente anche con le foto, sono riuscita a scattare anche qualche foto particolare della neve e del ghiaccio.
Come su questo palo sul quale, dal lato coperto dal sole, rimaneva ancora della neve ghiacciata.
Bello lo sfondo delle pale eoliche!

Wind turbines in Varese Ligure

The wind turbines in Varese Ligure.
One of the jewels in the crown of Varese Ligure are these wind farms that for about 15 years (the first inaugurated in 2006) have been powering all the houses in the municipality of La Spezia.
I took a short but beautiful walk leaving the car at Passo della Cappelletta and taking a few steps between these towers, the alpine pastures and the cows.
Varese, which since 1999 has been a municipality, the first in Europe, with UNI EN ISO 14001 environmental certification, is always attentive to sustainability and organic.

Le paludi di Gaomei

Le paludi di Gaomei.
Un posto meraviglioso: le paludi di Gaomei (in inglese: Gaomei Wetland) nella provincia di Taichung, Taiwan.
Da una parte pale eoliche e dall’altra la bassa marea che, grazie ad un comodo e lunghissimo pontile ti porta ad un paio di centinaia di metri dentro la palude salata.

Veramente uno spettacolo della natura!

Mi sono sbizzarrito con le panoramiche e le foto, spero vi piacciano.

Even if they perhaps spoil the landscape a little, they are certainly a good thing: the wind turbines on the island of Argostoli.

Here is where the island is located:

Argostoli has a recent history: it was founded and chosen as the administrative seat of the Republic of Venice in the second half of the 18th century, which moved there from the Castle of San Giorgio and the Castle of Assos. The island was part of the maritime state (although with some brief Ottoman periods) of the Serenissima. The city is sadly famous for the massacre of the Acqui Division, perpetrated by the Germans between 15 and 26 September 1943, a few days after the announcement of the armistice between Italy and the Allies.
