The Balin area of the seafront promenade of Sestri Levante. The palm trees, the cycle path and, in the background, the buildings overlooking the promenade. This is the area called Balin of Viale Rimembranza in my Sestri Levante.

The houses on the Ponente promenade in Riva Trigoso. Some time ago now, I took this beautiful photo in via Benedetto Brin in Riva Trigoso. The beautiful colored houses that overlook the seafront promenade and that remain a few meters from the beach and the sea. Enchanting!

Benedetto Brin (Turin, 17 May 1833 – Rome, 24 May 1898) was an Italian engineer, admiral and politician. Having entered service in the Sardinian Navy in 1853 as an officer of the Naval Engineering Corps, in 1864 he published an article in which he demonstrated the inevitability of the transition to armoured ships, thus finding himself on the same line as Simone Pacoret de Saint-Bon. Wisteria blooming in spring in Sestri Levante. When in spring, between April and May, the wisteria blooms, you can find truly magnificent corners to photograph. Like these benches, on the seafront promenade in Sestri Levante, which have this truly spectacular pergola of wisteria plants.

Wisteria grow by wrapping themselves around any support, both clockwise (like W. floribunda) and counterclockwise. The Wisteria collection at the Gardens of Villa della Pergola in Alassio is considered the most important in Italy today, with about 40 different types of the Wisteria species. The Ponente beach of Riva Trigoso in the evening. A few months ago, just after sunset, I was in Riva Trigoso in the Ponente part (near the library) and I took these two photos of the beach and the promenade.

The seafront promenade of Sestri Levante. One of my favorite photographs of the seafront promenade is the one that also portrays the monumental trees (I think maritime pine) in the stretch between the Nettuno and the Dani kiosk. In this case I slightly colored the photo in HDR.

Dream sea: the transparent waters of Framura One of the places in my area (Eastern Liguria) that I like to go to in the summer to have a nice swim is Framura. The tiny village near the Cinque Terre has a splendid promenade, overlooking the sea, along which you can reach a couple of truly enchanting beaches. And if you are an adventure lover, here and there along the promenade, there are points where you can go down to the sea and dive into this truly crystalline water!
