The caruggio of Sestri Levante on a rainy night. Surely my Sestri is no longer one of the night attractions as it was perhaps thirty years ago. Apart from July and August, walking at night in the caruggio, you hardly meet anyone (and I'm not talking about two in the morning). I took these photos a couple of years ago, in March 2023, and as you can see it was also a slightly rainy evening.

Mazzini square in Chiavari from under the arcades of the caruggio. A classic is to walk under the arcades in the caruggio in Chiavari and, when there are few people around, I always like to take this photo of the beautiful Piazza Mazzini (also called Piazza dei coi, of cabbages) with the former Courthouse building in the background.

The architectural layout remained unchanged until the late sixteenth century; from that time onwards new noble palaces were built within the walls in the contemporary Renaissance style. The choice of the new architectural style was especially evident in the main streets Ravaschieri and Stefano Rivarola where palaces very similar to other buildings in Genoa were erected or revised. Mattinata uggiosa a Sestri Levante. Questa mattina in Baia del Silenzio tra pioggia e mare leggermente mosso. Purtroppo il cattivo tempo non sembra voler lasciare in pace la nostra Liguria. Oggi piove un pochino di meno ma comunque è sempre molto uggioso.
Singapore sotto la pioggia. Sicuramente una delle cose che visitando questa citta’ non ti perderai e’ la pioggia. Qui piove quasi sempre: una ramata (come diciamo a Genova) colossale, magari di pochi minuti, ma quasi ogni giorno. Questa foto e’ stata scattata mentre eravamo in visita alla China Town locale, un’ora di pioggia tropicale e poi basta… ritorno al sole ed al caldo soffocante.
Portobello sabato 23 aprile 2016. Anche se il weekend del 25 aprile non comincia con il tanto sperato sole, la baia di Portobello rimane sempre bellissima.
In questo scatto potete vedere un’onda che si infrange sulla statua del pescatore posizionata in baia.
Un altro scenario alla Doom. Credo di aver già scritto un post simile ma queste montagne Taiwanesi, che declinano a picco sul mare (sulla costa orientale dell’isola) condite con pioggerella e nebbia, sembrano ancora una volta l’ambientazione del gioco Doom di qualche anno fa (tipo 20 anni fa?!).
Arcobaleno del 20 gennaio a Sestri Levante. Non è facile vedere un arcobaleno e ancora meno facile è riuscire a catturarlo con la macchina fotografica. Io ieri pomeriggio ci sono riuscito anche se, oltre ai colori dell’arcobaleno, non è una foto molto artistica… Comunque spero che porti fortuna a tutti!
