The cycle path of via XX Settembre in Sestri Levante.
The road that goes from the roundabout of Piazza Sant’Antonio to the seafront promenade is called via XX Settembre.
On the side that runs alongside the gardens dedicated to Mariele Ventre there is this sidewalk which is at the same time a cycle path almost completely immersed in greenery.

The central Viale Dante in Sestri Levante.
The straight road that starts from the historic center and branches off until it reaches the Gromolo stream.
In this stretch, on the left of the photo, the town's elementary schools.
The pavement has recently (a few years) been renewed and restructured and now hosts both a short cycle path (not very functional) and these little trees.

Il filare di pini nel Parco Mandela a Sestri Levante.
Tutte le volte che attraverso il parco, che si trova proprio tra casa mia ed il centro di Sestri, adoro osservare questo bel filare di pini (che non sono sicuro se siano marittimi o di Aleppo).
Originariamente erano posti al lato della via Aurelia e facevano da separazione con lo stabilimento della FIT Ferrotubi. E’ stata una ottima idea mantenerli per il parco.

Antagonista, con il predecessore Frederik de Klerk, dell’apartheid e insieme a questi insignito del premio Nobel per la pace nel 1993, Mandela fu il primo presidente sudafricano non bianco a ricoprire tale carica; attivista per i diritti civili e avvocato, aveva scontato 27 anni di carcere per la sua lotta al segregazionismo razziale.

Some time ago, this street in Chiavari was partially renovated (with the construction of a cycle path and the planting of a row of trees) and now appears very modern.
It is the street that goes from the Columbus monument to the Entella river, running parallel to the sea.

Even if the pavement is not always perfectly maintained, a ride along the cycle path, along the seafront in Sestri Levante, is always a panacea for the spirit.
Moving under the umbrellas created by the branches of the maritime pines and the sea at your side is priceless.
Here we are at the height of Bagni Celeste (but also La Lampara, La Battiglia and Lido).

The stretch of the cycle path in the Mandela Park in Sestri Levante.
One of the most beautiful stretches of cycle path in my Sestri Levante is the one that crosses the Mandela Park.
On the left the athletics track while on the right, in addition to the many benches sheltered by the Mediterranean pines, the basketball court and the municipal swimming pool.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (Mvezo, 18 July 191 – Johannesburg, 5 December 2013) was a South African politician and activist, President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. Protagonist, with his predecessor Frederik de Klerk, of the end of apartheid and together with him awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993, Mandela was the first South African president to be elected by universal suffrage and the first non-white to hold that office; a civil rights activist and lawyer, he had served 27 years in prison for his work for full recognition of the civil rights of members of non-white ethnic groups.

La parte della passeggiata di Sestri Levante verso Sant’Anna.
Quando sono a casa percorro spesso, specialmente quando mi armo di scarpe da ginnastica e tutta, questo tratto della passeggiata di Sestri Levante.
La parte piu’ a Ponente della mia cittadina che, rinnovata e restaurata qualche anno fa, oggi e’ uno dei luoghi piu’ frequentati nei pomeriggi delle mezze stagioni.
Se non sbaglio questo era un tardo pomeriggio di ottobre.

I really like the red color of the cycle path on the seafront promenade of Sestri Levante to photograph.
In this case it is the stretch that passes in front of the Nettuno hotel, that beautiful building you see in the background.
