One of the iconic photos of this Caribbean island and the splendid Brownes Beach in Carlisle Bay.
The water and sand on this beach, as I told you in another post, are truly incredible.
Right in the center of the bay there is this wooden pier, used to let tourists get on one of the many boats that take them to see the turtles.
The ritual photos are a must!

The name of this Antillean state was coined in 1536 by the Portuguese explorer Pedro A. Campos who called the island Os Barbados (the bearded ones) inspired by the ficus trees that grew there and whose long aerial roots looked like “beards”. The name that the Arawak natives attributed to the island was Ichirouganaim.

Le paludi di Gaomei

Le paludi di Gaomei.
Un posto meraviglioso: le paludi di Gaomei (in inglese: Gaomei Wetland) nella provincia di Taichung, Taiwan.
Da una parte pale eoliche e dall’altra la bassa marea che, grazie ad un comodo e lunghissimo pontile ti porta ad un paio di centinaia di metri dentro la palude salata.

Veramente uno spettacolo della natura!
