The parish church of Santo Stefano is a Catholic place of worship located in the historic center of the municipality of Rapallo, between via Magenta and vico della Rosa, in the metropolitan city of Genoa. The nearby Civic tower, dating back to 1443, is also part of the complex.

The columns of the cloister of the Seven Churches in Bologna.
One of the monuments to visit in Bologna is certainly the Basilica of Santo Stefano commonly called the Seven Churches since, over the centuries, seven different churches were built in this place.
Entering it (free entry) you can admire a splendid cloister of which, in this post, you can see the columns on the second floor.

The Basilica of Santo Stefano (cîṡa ed San Stêven in Bolognese) is a complex of religious buildings in Bologna. It overlooks the square of the same name and is also known as the complex of the “Seven Churches”. It has the dignity of a minor basilica.

Secondo l’opinione di alcuni studiosi, la costruzione della chiesa risalirebbe al periodo paleocristiano forse per opera dei monaci di San Colombano di Bobbio, ma della chiesa originaria non rimane, almeno alla superficie, alcun reperto. Le prime citazioni ufficiali vengono attestate in un livello del 1012 e ancora nel 1034.

Le foto del bel Presepe 2021 della pieve di Santo Stefano a Rapallo.
Ieri sono stato a Rapallo e, facendo giretto in centro, ho scoperto il bel presepe della chiesetta di Santo Stefano. Avevo già fotografato la chiesa ma solo dall’esterno perché quel giorno era chiusa.
Doppia sorpresa quindi: interno della chiesa e splendido presepe con tutti i luoghi di Rapallo.

The church of Santo Stefano del Ponte in Sestri Levante.
When I decide to take the walk that passes by Villa Rimassa, going down, I always photograph the church of Santo Stefano del Ponte.
I like this photo, decidedly colorful in hdr, in which the church seems to rise among the plants and trees. You can just see the bell tower and the statue of the Saint (on the facade).

If you are interested, here is the website of the Parrocchia di S. Stefano.

Already officiated by a college of canons, it was incorporated in 1519 into the ecclesiastical territories of the diocese of Brugnato, while the seat of the vicariate was moved to the current basilica of Santa Maria di Nazareth. In 1959 it passed under the diocese of Chiavari as did other parish buildings in the Sestrese area.

The chairlift of Santo Stefano d'Aveto.
A few weeks ago, like many other Ligurians, benefiting from a few days of yellow zone I also went on the snow in Santo Stefano d'Aveto.
Obviously the facilities were closed and also the chairlift that climbs Mount Bue from Rocca d'Aveto to Prato Cipolla was stopped.
However, between snow and fog a nice photo also came out!

Non ero mai entrato all’interno della maestosa chiesa di Lavagna.
Devo dire che è molto ricca e non me lo aspettavo.

The churchyard of the Basilica of Santo Stefano in Lavagna.
The large square in front of the most important church in Lavagna. The lion in the foreground, the staircase and the portico.
In the foreground one of the lions holding the coat of arms of the city. Then, lower down, the marble staircase (which was originally in slate). On the right the Brignardello portico (or gallery) which was said to have been built by the rich man so as not to have to pass in front of the church to go to the cemetery.

The square of the Abbey of Santo Stefano in Genoa.
This church is in the heart of industrious Genoa; right in the center above via XX Settembre.
I'm copying and pasting a post from a few months ago because the photo was taken in mid-November.
It is enough, at the height of the Ponte Monumentale, to climb a few steps and you arrive on this terrace with the splendid church on one side and the beautiful noble buildings of via Venti on the other.

The church of Santo Stefano (or abbey of Santo Stefano) is one of the most famous Christian places of worship in Genoa, and its parish community is part of the Vicariate of Carignano – Foce of the archdiocese of Genoa. Situated on a hill overlooking the central Via XX Settembre, it was one of the most significant examples of Romanesque architecture in the Ligurian capital. Christopher Columbus was baptized in this church and it is believed that the young Balilla was also baptized.

Una delle chiese più belle del Levante Ligure con la sua bella facciata e il grande sagrato e colonnato.
A dire la verità sarebbe stato bello fotografare da un pochino più lontano ma non temete… Altre foto arriveranno con il tempo.
