Una delle spiagge piu belle dei Caraibi e forse una delle più famose.
Diversi anni fa c’ero gia’ stato ma non ero riuscito a scattare delle foto cosi’ belle.
La spiaggia e’ veramente un sogno, spero ve ne rendiate conto dalla foto.

Sint Maarten is a constituent nation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which includes three other nations: the Netherlands and the Caribbean states of Aruba and Curaçao. The territory is made up of the southern part of the island of Saint Martin, located in the southern Caribbean Sea. The capital is Philipsburg. Sint Maarten borders to the north with Saint-Martin, an overseas collectivity dependent on France, whose territory makes up the northern part of the island.

Dream Beaches: Maho Bay in St Maarten

Dream beaches: Maho Bay in St Maarten.
This beach, which is very pretty, is one of the most famous in the Caribbean due to the fact that just a few meters away, planes land on their way to the island's airport.
The sand and water are dreamy but having a commercial plane (unfortunately in the photo it was a tourist plane because I took videos when the big ones passed by) that passes over you at just over fifty meters high at full speed is truly a sensation to try once in a lifetime.

Frequent visitors to Maho Beach often stop in the middle of the beach to escape the strong winds caused by the engines of departing planes. To prevent the risk of injuries and/or deaths, the local government has moved the airport area fences away from the runway threshold, in addition to placing signs warning of the danger.

Mare da sogno: Great Bay a St Marteen.
Sicuramente tra le acque piu limpide e turchesi che abbia incontrato ai Caraibi la passata stagione.
Queste foto che ho scattato ormai diversi mesi fa sono di una delle spiagge piu’ belle e comode che ho visitato.
Vorrei spiegare o ricordare che la comodita’, per noi, marittimi e’ fondamentale, nella scelta dei luoghi dove uscire dalla nave. Difficilmente infatti possiamo avventurarci troppo lontano perche’ comunque abbiamo poco tempo per uscire e, soprattutto, se dovessimo perdere la nave perderemmo anche il lavoro.

Dream beaches: St. Maarten.
A swim in the famous island of St. Marteen (Saint Martin), one of the dream beaches of the Caribbean!

Where is the island located:

On November 11, 1493, Christopher Columbus, during his second voyage to the Americas, sighted the island and named it Isla de San Martín to honor the feast of Saint Martin of Tours. However, although it was immediately claimed as Spanish territory, Columbus did not land there, and colonization of the island remained a low priority for Spain.
