Bai Dinh Pagoda in Vietnam

Bai Dinh Pagoda in Vietnam.
One of the largest temple complexes in Vietnam and all of Asia. In the splendid region of Ninh Binh.
It extends over a very large area (so much so that to reach the main gate you can use, for a fee, electric minivans) and it is all uphill.
At the top is the original temple to which a series of new buildings and statues have been added since 2010.
In the photo you can see the main entrance and, on the right, the imposing tower (stupa) visible from many kilometers away.

The view at the top of Phan Xi Panh in Sa Pa

The view from the top of Phan Xi Panh mountain in Sa Pa, Vietnam.
The Sa Pa region is the most famous in Vietnam for its naturalistic aspect. In this region there is also the highest peak not only in the state but in the whole Indochinese region: Phan Xi Pang (in English Fansipan).
It is a mountain over 3000 meters high and it is a spectacle.
From its summit, from which however there is little view because there is almost always fog, you dominate the whole region.
You get there by cable car… That trip alone would be enough!
Then at the top, there are temples, Buddha statues, and steep, steep stairways…

Tempio in Cambogia.
Qualche tempo fa una mia amica mi ha lasciato pubblicare sul sito alcune sue foto, splendide, scattate in Cambogia (Cambodia).
L’amica è la Grace (FB, Instagram) e devo dire che ha proprio talento per la fotografia.
Il soggetto poi è veramente splendido. I templi, il cibo e le persone….

Some statues of the Royal Palace in Bangkok.
Inserted many splendid photos of the city and the temples of Bangkok, Thailand.
The two that I inserted here are some statues outside one of the many temples of the Royal Palace, truly an indescribable spectacle.
These are the ornamental statues in the period of one of the many royal palaces.

Official residence of the kings of Thailand since 1785, construction of the palace began in 1782, at the beginning of the reign of Rama I, who moved the capital from nearby Thonburi to Bangkok. Over the years, the palace has been expanded several times, with the construction of new buildings, and modified by the demolition or restoration of obsolete buildings.

La città greco-romana di Palmira.
Ringrazio ancora Cristiano per avermi dato la possibilità di pubblicare sul mio sito le sue splendide foto in giro per il mondo.
Questa volta inserisco quelle della Siria, terra a me poco nota (se non per la politica) ma devo dire dalla grandissima storia.

Alcune foto del Rajasthan in India.
Ancora una volta ringrazio la Carissima Francesca per avermi “donato” le sue foto. Questa volta siamo in India ed esattamente nello stato dello Rajasthan, nome che prima di vedere queste foto era del tutto sconosciuto a me.
Stato decisamente vario e variopinto. Si alternano città caotiche a lande desolate interrotte qua e là da templi affascinanti.
Le foto che mi ha dato la Fra sono decisamente tante e probabilmente nessuno perderà mai così tanto tempo per vedersele tutte ma, in ogni caso, ho deciso di postarle tutte.

Il Rajasthan è lo Stato federato più grande dell’India ed è l’ottavo Stato più popolato; lingue ufficiali sono l’hindi ed il rajasthani. È situato nella parte settentrionale del Paese e comprende gran parte del vasto e inospitale Deserto del Thar (conosciuto anche come il “Deserto del Rajasthan” e “Gran Deserto Indiano”). A ovest confina con il Pakistan lungo la valle dei fiumi Sutlej e Indo.
