A photo of a small monument, just near the port of Barcelona, which commemorates the battle near the city of the same name.
To tell the truth, it is not a very evocative or particularly beautiful photo. I had it in my archive for some time and it was time to publish it before throwing it away.
I have always kept it in case I lacked inspiration but luckily I always have a good supply of better photos.

The Battle of Lepanto, also known as the Battle of the Echinades or Curzolari, was a naval battle that took place on 7 October 1571, during the Cyprus War, between the Muslim fleets of the Ottoman Empire and the Christian fleets of the Holy League, which brought together naval forces, half of which belonged to the Republic of Venice alone and the other half composed jointly of the galleys of the Spanish Empire, the Papal State, the Republic of Genoa, the Knights of Malta, the Duchy of Savoy, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the Duchy of Urbino, the Republic of Lucca, the Duchy of Ferrara and the Duchy of Mantua.
