Saffron for sale at the Boqueria market in Barcelona.
A few months ago, while passing through Barcelona, I went to eat (like a good tourist) at the perhaps most famous covered market in Barcelona: the Boqueria.
Since it is a place invaded by tourists, you can always understand what is in trend and what tourists are looking for at the moment.
In this case I noticed many stalls selling saffron with different prices and weights.
It does not cost as much as gold but they certainly sell it at a high price!
