A glimpse of the town of Matera in Basilicata.
Walking through the streets of Matera it seems like you can breathe the air of history and culture that many places in Italy offer us.
This glimpse, if I remember correctly, is of the Sasso Caveoso, one of the two together with the Sasso Barisano.
The ugly history of these places, very difficult in the middle of the last century and at the center of discussions and forced actions, is now overcome and tourism is now the master.

The Sasso Caveoso, which faces south towards Montescaglioso, resembles the shape of a theater cavea, with the houses arranged in terraces. Inside there are various neighborhoods, districts and districts named as follows: u lammòrde, u paravèse, u pendàfeche, u mòlve, u chianèdde, u casalnàve.

Camogli non è solo sul mare

Camogli non è solo sul mare.
Camogli è famosa, nelle foto, per la baia con le case affacciate sul mare o per il porticciolo con tutte le sue barche.
Passeggiando però tra le sue viette ci si può accorgere che ci sono scorci molto belli anche sul retro delle case.
Questa, ad esempio, è piazza Amendola, il punto dove arriva la strada principale.

The alleys of Trigoso, the hamlet of Sestri.
One of the most beautiful villages I have visited recently is right near my house, in my own municipality even.
This is in fact one of the alleys (a classic creuza de ma, as De Andrè sang) that crosses the small village.
Narrow streets, colorful houses leaning one on top of the other. It has a lot of charm!

Here is where the small village is located:

The two toponyms, Riva and Trigoso, were combined for the first time in 1874, in the name of the railway station “Riva-Trigoso”, then located halfway between the two villages. The joint name gradually entered common use, to improperly identify the single fraction of Riva.

Le viuzze di Cat Cat, in Vietnam

Le viuzze di Cat Cat, in Vietnam.
Se si vuol visitare la regione di Sa Pa e non si ha molto tempo è d’obbligo un salto in queste viette ripide.
Il villaggio di Cat Cat, essendo a poca distanza dalla città di Sa Pa è visitabile molto facilmente.
Ormai è un luogo solo per turisti, dove si mettono a disposizione scenari anche artificiali per scattare le foto.
Lungo la via solo negozietti molto poveri di souvenir e cibo locale vietnamita.
L’atmosfera però è molto surreale. Probabilmente, chi ama il trekking, può avere modo sedi visitare luoghi un pochino più spontanei.. magari per me sarà per la prossima volta.
Anzi un suggerimento: se siete in città vi consiglio di camminare fino al villaggio (la strata è in ripida discesa) e poi prendete un taxi per tornare.
