The throne of the Royal Palace in Genoa
The throne of the Royal Palace in Genoa.
Palazzo Stefano Balbi (better known as the Royal Palace) is an imposing structure in the historic center of Genoa, built in the early 17th century and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for about ten years.
In 1823, the Genoese sold the palace to the Savoy family, who used it as an official residence. They brought new furnishings to add to the already sumptuous ones previously present… of course, a throne was a must, which is still preserved in one of the state rooms.
